Information You Submit
Text entered in a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, goes to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you send us a message, we receive the details you decide to provide and use them to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard server logs may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregate log data helps maintain the service and shows which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use Information
The limited information described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to Chamblee and DeKalb County portals, Georgia records offices, library collections, or outside search tools. Information sent to one of those services falls under its privacy terms rather than ours. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a separate company and are governed by that provider’s practices.
When Information Is Shared
Vendors that host or support the service can process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatically gathered information noted above. Data will also be disclosed when valid legal process compels it. We do not otherwise distribute visitor information.
Safeguarding Visitor Data
An encrypted connection delivers the site. Server logs are kept only for as long as the stated operational purposes require. Since there are no user accounts, we hold no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights concerning access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held by a website vary with a visitor’s residence. Research did not identify a broad Georgia consumer-privacy act that would justify promising statewide rights comparable to those in some other states. Because little visitor information is retained, most requests involve a check of the contact mailbox and available server logs. Send a request through the Contact page. Chamblee, DeKalb County, and Georgia custodians control their own government records, so requests to correct or remove an official record must be directed to the office that keeps it.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised policy will appear here. Using the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
